Payment Due

You pay, I’ll bake! Payment is required up front so that I can source your cute cutters, spectacular sprinkles, fabulous food colours and the perfect packaging and all the other little things needed to create your treats. Your payment will reserve your pick-up date too!

Due to the financial department on larger firms taking a bit longer to load payment, your word is your bond. If you place an order and your finance team will pay at a later date an exception can be made but your order is then a go and can't be canceled mid baking.

No show = No cookies

Your cookies and cake are best enjoyed fresh. Not showing up to the agreed upon pick-up date, forfeits your order. But take heart, they will be donated to a family in need. Need to reschedule your pick-up? No problem! Please reach out 3 days prior to your pickup time.

Refunds

I can offer refunds up to 72 hours after the payment has been accepted - unless the order is within that 72hrs. Unfortunately, after that time, I cannot offer refunds as your ingredients order has likely already been placed. But the good news – you get the cookies/cake and your taste buds will thank you! For larger orders (over 80) nine or more workdays is needed to cancel an order as these orders are prepped, baked and iced way earlier to get them done in time.

Delivery Clause

All orders will be considered as pick-up unless otherwise arranged and paid for.

Delivery can be an option if you live within 15 km of the pick-up location with an additional fee of R8p/km return! I love a good drive, bonus if that drive is past a Seattle Coffee shop! - so make sure to book delivery in advance so I know not to schedule a coffee with a friend during your delivery time.

Pick-up Dates and Times

Delivery and pick up times are set upon ordering. This is because other customers need their cookie fix too! We have pick-up dates to accommodate most schedules – so put that cookie pick-up in your calendar!
Collection between Mon-Fri 9:00-17:00, Sat 9:00-12, Closed on Sun.

Change Cutoff

Decisions are tough! But we’re here to help. Order changes can be made until 14 days before collection. After that, all change requests will be under consideration and a small fee will apply.

Inspiration

Thanks tons for bringing those inspo pictures! They are just that – inspiring. But your goods may not be perfect replicas – I’ll try to keep it close. I do prefer to add my own creative touch and personal flair.

Covid Care

We know that you can’t control when you have come in contact with a person who has Covid, and we want to work with you. Need to reschedule your event? We can freeze your cookies for 2 weeks so you can stay home and rest.

In a hurry?

While I can’t accommodate all last minute orders, I will make my best effort to do so. Orders placed with a turnaround time of under 7 days will require a rush fee of R250+.

Price Adjustments

All prices are subject to change. Prices are often dictated by ingredients costs. I’m always trying to provide the best tasting cookies to my clients. This also means that I can’t honour old pricing (because the grocery store won’t honour their old flour prices – darn it).

Copycats

Copyright images (think Star Wars and Peppa Pig) are protected and I won’t be able to replicate them baked goods (who wants a cookie controversy, right?). We can make a similar colour palette though so let’s talk!

Pictures are worth a thousand words

But they are not always accurate. Colours and lighting in photos may be slightly different than what you may end up with. Also, cookies in photos may not be true to size! (which is a bummer, I’d frankly love to eat an 8.5x11 inch cookie!!)

Net 'n bietjie

(just a few). I require a minimum of 1 dozen (12)! Why, because the oven needs to get ready for 5 or 50 for the same period of time and sadly Eskom doesn't give me a reduced rate if I bake just one tray.

You might only need a few, but trust me you will enjoy the extras once you've tasted them.

It’s All Yours Now.

Once you pick-up your order (thanks again, by the way), what happens to your cookies, cocoa bombs and cake is all on you! Keep ‘em safe, keep ‘em cool, and keep avoiding the potholes.

Ship Shape!

As much as I would love to hand deliver each and every batch, unfortunately, I often need the help of couriers. I do my best to package these cookies for a rough ride, but broken cookies are a possibility and a non-refundable risk you take when placing a shipped order. Also – while I ship Priority, I can’t guarantee that “rain, sleet, snow or hail” won’t delay your order. Refunds can’t be offered – but know that they’re on their way. Once tracking information is provided, claims for lost orders can be placed with the courier.

No Ghosts

Achoo! Allergies?

Baked goods are often made with foods that can be known allergens. While I can do my best to accommodate I can’t always accommodate allergy-conscious orders. Please do reach out – I may have a perfect referral for ya!

Cottage Food Laws

This order has been made in a home kitchen not inspected by X. Our kitchen is not nut free, egg free, dairy free, gluten free. Boring disclaimer, but we have to say it per the law. *tips cowboy hat* *straightens Sheriff pin*

In Sickness and in Health

While death will never do us part, you’re consuming food and with the consumption of anything (including that bottle of wine last night) there are inherent risks. Choking hazards, food illnesses, and allergic reactions are possibilities – albeit hopefully far reaching.

Weather Clause

If pickup is impossible due to inclement weather, your order will be heat sealed for a later pickup date. Unfortunately, no refunds can be offered due to weather (darn rain), but we will make sure your order is kept as fresh as possible!

Refunds

While we want you to love our cookies, if you are not satisfied with your order, please return all uneaten cookies within 24 hours so we can assess their condition and troubleshoot any problems. We will then determine if a credit may be issued for a future order.

Bulk Order?

Due to the custom work required for each cookie, we are unable to extend discounts regardless of quantity. If you have a specific budget you are working with, feel free to let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to offer you a solution that fits your budget

Once you’ve submitted (awesome) payment for your (awesome) order because you’re awesome, you’re accepting the above terms. Which is awesome because my cookies are awesome. Awesome!

Please note the following for all classes:

Full payment is required upfront when booking your place.
Cancellations made with less than 14 days notice will forfeit the full course fee.
50% will be refunded for cancellations before 14 days.
Bookings for courses need to be in by the closing date stated under each course date.

Courses will be postponed if the minimum number of students are not reached in order to have the course. If you are booking a flight please check with us before you book your flight that we have the min. number of students for the course to go ahead.
Space is limited, so your place on the course is only confirmed and secured once you have paid your deposit.
When Booking please put the course date and which course OR courses you are signing up for in the Subject Line.
There is no baking on the course - your ready baked cookies and icing is included in the fee.
You will be given the recipe for the icing and instructions on how to make icing and which ingredients you need. This will teach students how to make their own icing and the correct consistencies so that after the course they will be able to make their own icing with no problems.
Certain techniques in the decorating require certain icing consistencies - everything will be explained in the lessons.
Min of 6 students per course
A Little Something has the right to cancel or reschedule a class if the minimum number of students are not reached, the course will be postponed to a new date. If you cannot make the new date, your money will be refunded.
